As a child, with my dad tattooing in Wolverhampton Street, Dudley. I used to hang around the shop after school and on Saturdays, it was then that I first got interested in wanting to tattoo, and who better to teach me than my dad, he told me 'watch and learn' so that's what I did. The first tattoo I did, I was 14 at John Fords Tattoo Studio in Digbeth, better known as tattooing by Hagar, although already having the basic talent of drawing and imagination, contrary to popular belief its a lot easier putting pen to paper than ink to skin. In '96 Hagar and I opened a studio in Sedgley, known to many as Tattooing by Hagar and Kev. In 2002 I sold the Sedgley shop, Hagar had already left a few years earlier and had started tattooing in Walsall, where I eventually followed.
It's been 10 years since I first started tattooing; I'm now working at the new Body Art studio in Dudley. My work consists of whatever the clients (new or old) needs may be, from traditional flash designs to custom designs to suit the customer's requirements.
